Literally, the Chinese yun and long mean cloud and dragon in English. According to Annals of Xuzhou, clouds float around the peaks like flying dragons; and this is why the mountain obtains its name Yunlong Mountain. Yunlong Mountain stands imposing and magnificent with its deep valleys densely covered with green trees. Noted long in history, the mountain is dotted with many historical sites, such as the graceful Drinking Crane Fountain, the mignon Crane-attracting Pavilion, the archaic Crane-flying Pavilion, the time-weathered Xinghua Temple, and the simple but elegant Yunlong Academy, and so forth.
